COMPOUND FR-960 Adhesion Promoter

Before and After

If adhesion is what you need, COMPOUND FR-960 will provide it!

COMPOUND FR-960 is alkaline, organic, non-chrome final sealing rinse for phosphatized metal surface. COMPOUND FR-960 promotes adhesion between the paint and the phosphate coating. Chrome and non-chrome rinses traditionally have provided passivation of the part surface, with chrome being the better passivator. COMPOUND FR-960 is superior!

COMPOUND FR-960 actually provides a chemical bond between the paint and conversion coating. The film left by application of COMPOUND FR-960 also exhibits strong internal cohesion. This chemical bond provides excellent adhesion on impact or bend testing.  When the paint goes on, it won't come off.

These attributes provide excellent corrosion resistance in salt spray and humidity testing.

COMPOUND FR-960 is enhanced with FLOW-MAX™ to reduce the negative effects of scale and sludge. FLOW-MAX™ TECHNOLOGY reduces maintenance, downtime and poor performance due to clogged nozzles and sludge deposits on production parts.

  • Less scale and better heat transfer

  • Less nozzle plugging

  • Improve performance

  • Remove existing scale deposits

  • Better rinsing

  • Reduce equipment clean-up time

COMPOUND FR-960 is typically diluted with water from 0.5 to 1.0% by volume.  COMPOUND FR-960 is applied by spray or immersion at temperatures of 65oF. to 160oF. with normal contact times of 30 to 60 seconds.  Best results are obtained when the surface is allowed to dry completely before paint application.
